Patient 4 Case #8011
Description:
1 months post op
Age: 50 – 60
Procedure: Bilateral breast augmentation exchange with left capsulotomy and right capsulorrhaphy. Removed 495cc SRX (Smooth Responsvie Gel, Extra Full Profile) and replaced with 560cc SCX (Smooth Cohesive Extra Full Profile)
BMI: 26
Weight: 144 lbs
Details: The patient underwent bilateral implant exchange from 495 cc SRX Responsive-gel implants to 560 cc SCX highly cohesive implants, along with right capsulorrhaphy and left capsulotomy for left capsular contracture. The SCX implants provide greater shape stability, upper-pole fullness, and reduced folding or rippling, although they may feel slightly firmer than the softer SRX implants. The right pocket was tightened to improve implant support and positioning, while the left capsule was released to reduce tightness and allow the breast to expand more naturally. The result is improved symmetry, broader fullness, better implant positioning, and a softer appearance of the previously contracted left breast.
